What the city charges and what we charge
You pay grave fees to the municipality, not to us. They differ considerably from city to city. We tell you in advance what amount to expect.
If money is short
The social welfare office (Sozialamt) covers funeral costs if the family cannot reasonably be expected to pay them. The responsible office is the one at the deceased's last place of residence. The application should be made before the invoice is paid.
If the funds for the funeral are not sufficient, we will also help you with the application to the responsible social welfare office.
